Accessibility Office for Students with Disabilities (AOSD)

About us

The AOSD provides support to students with disabilities according to their academic needs to ensure that they receive equal access to education. We cannot guarantee course completion, but we are committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment. We have collaborated closely with relevant departments and organizations, both on and off campus, to remove social barriers.

Eligibility for Support

The AOSD supports students with physical, developmental, or mental disabilities who have applied for and have been granted reasonable accommodations.
Support usually begins when a student with a disability requests assistance. If a student requests reasonable accommodations, the Committee for Students with Disabilities determines the specific measures and discusses them with both the student and the course instructor.

Process for Support

1.Consultation Request
Any student wishing to consult about academic problems should contact the AOSD. Please make an appointment via e-mail.

2.Intake Session
The coordinator will ask you about your diagnosis, the difficulties you experience because of your disability, any accommodations you have received so far, and the accommodations you would like to request.
Students seeking reasonable accommodations must submit Application Forms for Students with Disabilities along with the following documents: a copy of the disability certificate, a medical certificate issued by a physician, or a psychological evaluation prepared by a licensed psychologist.

3.Deliberation by the Committee for Students with Disabilities
The committee will review and deliberate on the validity of the application and the specific accommodation measures.

4.Provision of Reasonable Accommodations
The student should explain the requested accommodations to the course instructor using the “Accommodation Request Confirmation.” Accommodations will be provided once an agreement is reached between the student and the instructor.
