The 4th Chubu Academia Symposium “Possible Scenarios for the future of the Euro, Yen, Dollar and Yuan” was held

Hitotsubashi University held the 4th Chubu Academia symposium on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Midland Hall, Nagoya.

Starting with an opening address by Susumu Yamauchi, President of Hitotsubashi University, Eiji Ogawa, Board Member/Executive vice president, made a keynote speech followed by a panel discussion with panelists Eiji Ogawa, Eiji Hirano, Executive Vice President of Toyota Financial Services Corporation, Tateki Ishida, President of Tokai Tokyo Financial Holdings, Inc./CEO, Akio Makabe, Professor of the Faculty of Economics, Shinshu University, and Mikihiro Onishi, Professor of the Faculty of Economics, Shinshu University, who moderated the session. At the end of the discussion, Takashi Kawamura, Mayor of Nagoya City gave a guest speech.

Approximately 180 participants attended the symposium. We were blessed with fine weather on the day, and the hall was filled with participants including students, citizens, and graduates of Hitotsubashi University. Many questions were asked and the symposium was a great success.

The next Chubu Academia will be held on November 15, 2014. Details will be announced on our website when they have been decided.
