President Tadenuma Signs Student Exchange Agreement with Zhejiang University in China

Hitotsubashi University has launched a new student exchange program with Zhejiang University in China. The presidents of the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding for mutual cooperation and a Student Exchange Agreement in an online ceremony on July 3, 2020.

 

The representatives to the ceremony from Zhejiang University were President Wu Zhaohui, Vice President He Lianzhen, Director of the Office of Global Engagement Li Min, and Professor Hu Wenhai. From Hitotsubashi University, President Koichi Tadenuma, Vice President Atsushi Yamada, and Associate Vice President Wang Yunhai took part to celebrate the special occasion.

 

Zhejiang University is one of China’s top institutes of higher education, as well as one of its oldest; its roots can be traced back to 1897 and the founding of the Qiushi Academy. Located in Hangzhou—one of China’s most picturesque cities—the University is organized across seven faculties and 37 schools.

 

With this new program, the two institutions agree to reciprocal exchange of two students each year.
