The alert level pursuant to Hitotsubashi University Activity Restrictions Index for the Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 taking effect from October 1, 2021

The Japanese Government has announced that the Declaration of State of Emergency issued for Tokyo and other areas will be lifted on September 30, 2021.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Hitotsubashi University will maintain the current level of Level 3 on the Hitotsubashi University Activity Restrictions Index for the Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 for the first two to three weeks of October. We will monitor the situation both within and outside the University and review the alert level at a later date.

Please understand that this decision was made to prevent the outbreak of infectious diseases and fulfill our university’s social responsibility. Even with the lifting of the state of emergency, infection prevention measures will still be necessary. We kindly request your cooperation in preventing the spread of infection by reading the message from the three vice presidents of Hitotsubashi University, “At the start of classes for the 2021 autumn semester”.
