President Nakano Signs MOU and Student Exchange Agreement with The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel

Hitotsubashi University has launched a new student exchange program with The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel and held a signing ceremony at Hitotsubashi University on 13 July 2022.
 

The representative at the ceremony from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem was Professor Nissim Otmazgin, the Director of the Institute for Asian and African Studies. From Hitotsubashi University, the ceremony was attended by President Nakano, Vice President Atsushi Yamada, and Professor Naohiro Shichijo. The signing ceremony was followed by a discussion with Professor Nissim Otmazgin on future cooperation.
 

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem was founded in 1918 with support from Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud and others, and is Israel’s premier university as well as its leading research institution. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem plays a central role in patent registered and start-up businesses and focuses on entrepreneurship education. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem hosts many international students from all over the world.
 

Hitotsubashi University is promoting increasing the variety of our partner universities around the world and this is the first university-wide agreement with a university in the Middle East. With this new program, the two institutions agree to reciprocal exchange of two students each year.
