The President’s Opinions

President Satoshi Nakano (September 2020 - )

In his President’s Opinions, President Nakano discusses what should and can be done by Japanese social sciences and humanities, taking up specific challenges faced by Japanese society and universities. He also discusses what contributions Hitotsubashi University can make to this end and in what manner, and how the University’s functions as a national university should be strengthened.

Former President Koichi Tadenuma (December 2014 - August 2020)

In his President’s Opinions, Former President Tadenuma discussed and thought deeply about which direction Hitotsubashi University should take to further enhance its education and research based on the University’s history and achievements since its foundation. The former president put together his views into the “Hitotsubashi University Enhancement Plan.” He delivered his messages on a regular basis, in the hope of explaining the University’s future vision widely to citizens and reporting progress in achieving the vision, so that such effort would lead to further advancement of education and research.
