This Privacy Policy applies to websites containing the hit-u.ac.jp domains. However, if an individual page contains privacy information that differs from the following, the information on the individual page shall take precedence.

Please note that the University is not responsible for the handling of privacy information on the websites of other organizations links are provided on this site.

  1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations and Continuous Review

Hitotsubashi University will comply with laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information, the Basic Policy on the Protection of Personal Information and Specific Personal Information at Hitotsubashi University (Presidential Ruling) (only in Japanese), and other norms, and will continuously review and improve this Privacy Policy.

  2. Purpose
    The accounts have the objective of distributing news, notifications, and information, etc., relating to the University, as well as sound communication with people inside and outside the University.
  3. Operating Policy

    2. As a general rule, replies, etc., shall not be provided to comments, etc., made on social media.
  4. Disclaimer
    1. The University shall not bear responsibility for any act performed by a user through the use of information on the accounts.
    2. The University shall not bear responsibility for comments, etc., on accounts that are posted by users.
    3. The University shall not bear responsibility for difficulties and disputes entered into between users or a user and a third party in relation to an account.
    4. Copyright, etc., to comment posts shall be attributable to the user who made said post, however, by making such a post, the user shall be deemed to have granted a license to the University for the worldwide, non-exclusive use of the posted content at no charge, and to have agreed not to exercise copyright, etc., against the University.

    10. Malicious programs, etc.
    11. Inappropriate posts, such as those including obscene expressions.
    12. Posts that modify all or a part of content published by the University.
    13. Posts that are not related to the content published by the University.
    14. Other posts containing information deemed inappropriate by the University or links to websites containing such content, etc.
  6. Regarding Copyright

    The content on such accounts may not be republished, etc., without the permission of the University, with the exception of acts permitted under the Copyright Act, such as for personal use or quotation. When making a quotation, etc., please be sure to identify the source by an appropriate method.
