Academic Year 2014 Graduation Ceremonies

Hitotsubashi University held graduation ceremonies for the academic year 2014 at Kanematsu Auditorium on March 20, 2015. The ceremony for undergraduate students started at 10:00 a.m., and that for graduate students at 2:00 p.m. The number of degree recipients was as follows:

Undergraduate: 1,049 students (not including students who graduated in September)

Graduate: Master’s programs: 330 students; doctoral programs: 50 students; professional master’s programs: 226 students

  • Opening
  • Performance of Polonaise in A-flat major, Op. 53 (Chopin) by Takashi Yamada
  • Degree conferment to student representatives from each faculty and announcement of students with outstanding academic results
  • Address by Koichi Tadenuma, president of Hitotsubashi University
  • Remarks by the representative of degree recipients
  • Congratulatory address by Teisuke Kitayama, Chairman of the Board of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC)
  • Singing of the university song
  • Closing

Ceremony for Graduate Students

  • Opening
  • Performance of Liebestraum (Lizst) by Takashi Yamada
  • Degree conferment to the student representatives of master’s degree, professional master’s degree, and doctoral degree recipients, respectively
  • Address by Koichi Tadenuma, president of Hitotsubashi University
  • Remarks by the representative of master’s degree recipients
  • Remarks by the representative of professional master’s degree recipients
  • Remarks by the representative of doctoral degree recipients
  • Closing
