Master of Law Double Degree Program Agreement Signed Between Hitotsubashi University and Renmin University of China

On June 17, 2017, the Master of Law double degree program agreement was signed between Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of Law (HUGSL) and Renmin University of China Law School (RUCLS).
 
Deans Kuzuno Hiroyuki of HUGSL and HAN Dayuan of RUCLS signed the agreement during a ceremony held at the latter’s campus, which was attended by Professors Aoki Hitoshi (Director of Hitotsubashi University [HU] Asian Center in China and former Dean, HUGSL), Wang Yunhai (HUGSL), Sakai Taro (Education and Research Councilor, HUGSL), SHI Yanan (Vice Dean, RUCLS), YANG Jianshun (RUCLS, HU, Ph.D. alumni), and XU Fei (Foreign Affairs Department), among others.
 
With the signing of the agreement, graduate students enrolled at each institution will be eligible to apply for the double degree program, which will make it possible for them to be enrolled and study at the other institution for one year and receive degrees from both institutions if they successfully obtain the necessary credits and pass their M.A. thesis examinations, as required by each institution. The agreement will be applicable for those HU Master of Law students who will be admitted on and after April 1, 2018.
