Signing Ceremony for Student and Academic Exchange Agreement with University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Uzbekistan

On 26 September 2022, Hitotsubashi University signed an agreement for student and academic exchange with University of World Economy and Diplomacy in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a signing ceremony was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan. President Sodiq Safoyev (First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament) from University of World Economy and Diplomacy and President Satoshi Nakano from Hitotsubashi university attended the ceremony.
 

Both universities agreed to exchange one student per year and promote exchanges in various fields.
 
University of World Economy and Diplomacy is known for producing a large number of diplomats, politicians and business leaders in Uzbekistan. This is the first university-wide agreement with a university in former Soviet-bloc states excluding Russia.
