Students who enrolled in or before March 2023

  1. to enroll the student into the university, to manage the student registry, to issue the student ID card, and to manage academic records
  2. to register the student for research and education facilities, such as the university library, and on the university’s internal systems; manage use; and send notifications about services provided;
  3. to disseminate important announcements and messages with regard to lectures, registration, and/or graduation
  4. to smoothly operate lectures and examinations
  5. to support a student who is being sent under a student exchange or academic exchange agreement to a partner institution within Japan, to an overseas partner institution, or for language study overseas, and to supply any necessary information to the student’s study or research destination
  6. to issue various types of certificate and diploma
  7. to assist students in their daily life, extracurricular activities, forgotten items, and to manage scholarships
  8. the health management of students
  9. the issuing of health certificates
  10. student advice and counselling
  11. to support and respond to disabled students
  12. to supply academic records to contacts such as the student’s family (only in cases where the university judges this to be necessary)
  13. to contact, send information or requests to the student and contacts such as the student’s family
  14. to supply any necessary information to groups administering scholarships
  15. to assist students with job placements
  16. debt management pertaining to tuition and accommodation charge, contacting students about payments/ withdrawals, sending reminders in case of non-payment;
  17. personnel management and labor management tasks for students with part-time jobs within the university
  18. to contact students’ families with information and requests related to the Hitotsubashi University Foundation
  19. tasks related to the improvement and promotion of teaching and research, tasks related to intellectual property/ collaborations with industry
  20. to implement research ethics education and supply any necessary information to the implementing agency
  21. various inspections and investigations, certification and accreditation, etc., and tasks related to investigations by the national or local government or other bodies;
  22. emergency contact in case of disaster
  23. to conduct processes other than those listed above which are necessary for the administration and management of the university


Students who graduated, have completed their courses or unenrolled in or before February 2023

  1. to issue various types of certificate
  2. to update the information held by this university due to changes to surname or given name, etc.
  3. public relations activities
  4. requests for cooperation with various surveys and questionnaires
  5. to conduct processes other than those listed above which are necessary for the administration and management of the university
