Hitotsubashi University concludes a social cooperation agreement with Kunitachi City

Hitotsubashi University has collaborated and cooperated with Kunitachi City in various ways over the years. In order to respond to the issues of the area promptly and appropriately, as well as to contribute to the development of the city and its human resources by deepening our mutual partnership even further, Hitotsubashi University has concluded a social cooperation agreement with Kunitachi City. Susumu Yamauchi, President of Hitotsubashi University, and Kazuo Sato, Mayor of Kunitachi City, signed the agreement during a ceremony at Kunitachi City Hall on November 13, 2013.

The agreement was concluded in order to promote collaboration regarding human resources development, local development and community planning, public management, economic policy and industrial development, international exchange and global peace, academic research and education, and life-long education.

As the oldest university for the social sciences in Japan, Hitotsubashi University has played a leading role in this academic field for many years, and the university will now work toward deepening its contribution to the local area by utilizing its intellectual capital to pioneer and elucidate new fields of research.
