Overseas Education and Research Experience

February 2007 Participated in Grand-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C) “The challenge and possibility of ‘Rural Development Strategy’ through community-participation scheme in sub-Saharan Africa” as a research collaborator. Researched about Non-formal NGO education in Samburu District, Kenya and submitted the final report.
April 2002-March 2003 Belonged to Bureau of Education Research, Kenyatta University as a Research Associate. Stayed in Samburu District with Samburu people for 6 months and researched about children’s socialization through school education and informal education such as playing, home education, community education and non-formal NGO education. With this research, I wrote my Ph.D thesis.
April 1999-September 1999 Belonged to a Japanese NGO called Community Action Development Organization (CanDo) as an intern. Researched about the relationship between schools and community in Mwingi District, Kenya for 1 month. With this research, I wrote my MA thesis.
