Application to the Graduate School of Hitotsubashi University as a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Recipient
In order to apply for the graduate program at Hitotsubashi University as a MEXT scholarship student for the 2012 academic year, you need to be selected as a preliminary candidate by the Japanese Embassy / Consulate General in your country. Submit your completed application form and supporting documents by registered express mail (e.g. EMS, DHL), and make sure to meet the deadline. It is not accepted if you miss the application deadline.
Chinese candidates who are selected as a preliminary candidate by the Japanese Embassy / Consulate General in China can receive "Letter of Acceptance" from a supervisor regardless of the following deadline.

**For those who apply for International Business Strategy, Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, please submit GMAT score instead of Japanese Language Proficiency Evaluation Form B. - A set of the photocopies of the documents submitted to the Japanese Embassy/Consulate General
(description of educational background, certified academic records of the university attended, letter of recommendation from the university attended, and description of the field of study and study program, etc.) - The Passing Certificate of the Preliminary Selection Issued by the Japanese Embassy/Consulate General.

Notification of Screening Results:
By September 22th, 2011, Graduate Schools will send a notification of screening results to each applicant by postal mail and E-mail.
FAQ for MEXT Scholarship (Embassy Nomination)
| Q.1 | In case I can not get the acceptance notice from Hitotsubashi University by the deadline of the application submission to Japanese Embassy, what should I do? |
| A.1 | The screening result will be informed to each applicant by November 30th by postal mail and E-mail from each graduate school. Please explain our screening schedule to Japanese Embassy in advance, and submit it to them as soon as the result reaches. Note that Hitotsubashi does not issue "Letter of Acceptance" in MEXT form but issue our original "Letter of Acceptance". |
