HITOTSUBASHI UNIVERSITY OPENS SPECIAL LECTURE SERIES DONATED BY JBIC

Hitotsubashi University (President: Professor Susumu Yamauchi) signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation* (JBIC, Governor: Hiroshi Okuda) to contribute to advances in academic research and human resources development in August 2011. As part of the cooperation under the agreement, Hitotsubashi University will open a special lecture series entitled “Project Finance” in the Hitotsubashi MBA Program during the second (winter) semester of the current academic year, October 2012 to March 2013.

A total of 15 lectures in English on theory, practice and case studies of project finance are planned starting this October. The series will be taught by experts from JBIC based on their experience over the years in project finance for a large number of development projects on overseas energy and other resources and public sector-related infrastructure.

We will continue our efforts to contribute to the promotion and improvement of academic research and human resources development. The press is kindly requested to understand the aim of this program and to report our efforts to the public.
