Establishment of Cooperative Relationship between Higher Colleges of Technology and Hitotsubashi University

Hitotsubashi University (HU) has agreed to establish a cooperative relationship with Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
The agreement to facilitate an action plan was made between Takehiko Sugiyama, President of Hitotsubashi University, and H.E Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of Higher Colleges of Technology, on August 27 in Dubai.
The detailed plan of the agreement has a two-phased approach. In the first phase, both universities will collaborate to organize a special program course in English on “Industrial Management of Japan” on the HCT campus at Abu Dhabi. HU is scheduled to dispatch their faculties, alumni and leading executives of Japanese industries as the lecturers of the program beginning in January 2009. In the second phase, HU is scheduled to accept capable and talented students from HCT and to offer them special classes in English on the HU campus in Tokyo.
Both universities will continue to discuss further details and schedules to facilitate this agreement.
