Undergraduate Programs

Hitotsubashi University requires a special screening test for international students. Application guidelines are announced in or around September every year. Applications are accepted in January of the following year and an entrance examination is held in February. Please be sure to check the latest application guidebook for eligibility requirements and details.

Graduate Programs

Master's Programs

International students applying to take the master's course are screened under Hitotsubashi University Graduate School's special screening system for students from abroad.

The list of admission requirements is published in or around June every year. Entrance examinations are conducted in September by the Graduate School of Commerce and in February of the following year by the Graduate School of Economics, the Graduate School of Law and the Graduate School of Social Sciences.

As for the Graduate School of Language & Society and the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, the special screening system for international students does not apply to these schools.

However, the Graduate School of Language & Society does conduct an entrance examination.

The form of examination differs with each school. For details, check the list of requirements or the web site of each school.

Doctoral Programs

There is no special screening system for international students applying to take doctoral courses. International applicants will be screened under the same system as Japanese applicants.

The list of admission requirements is published in or around June every year, and entrance examinations are conducted around September or March of the following year (except for the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy).

Applicants should obtain the list of requirements by requesting it from each school. As the form of examination differs with each school, applicants should see the list for the school they wish to enter.

Professional School Programs

School of International and Public Policy has a special screening system for international students.

For more information

Except for entrance examinations for the Master of Business Administration in International Business Strategy, Doctor of Business Administration in International Business Strategy, and Master of Public Policy in the Asian Public Policy Program, entrance examinations are given in Japanese
