Professor Emeritus Ikujiro Nonaka Selected as Japan Academy Member

Professor emeritus Ikujiro Nonaka has been selected as a member of The Japan Academy. Professor Nonaka was involved with education and research at Hitotsubashi University’s Institute of Innovation Research and Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy. As the father of Knowledge Creating Management Theory, Professor Nonaka has immensely contributed to the development of business management in Japan. By popularizing the business practices of Japanese companies and spreading basic knowledge of business management theory, he has started a new wave of business management theory originating in Japan. Many theoretical and empirical studies have been conducted on the basis of the theories proposed by Professor Nonaka.
