LSE-Hitotsubashi Lecture Series by Professor Peter Trubowitz

The 2nd LSE-Hitotsubashi Lecture Series in 2016 was held at Hitotsubashi Hall on Tuesday, June 14. The series started in 2012 to further strengthen the relationship with the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE), which is one of the top social science universities in the world, and the series marked its fifth year. This time, Peter Trubowitz, Professor of International Relations and Director of the US Centre at LSE, gave a lecture entitled “The 2016 U.S. Presidential Election: Implications for Asia.”

Over 40 people gathered at the hall, including students, researchers and alumni of Hitotsubashi University and LSE, and Professor Trubowitz gave his lecture following the opening remarks by Associate Vice President Taiji Furusawa and Dr. Brendan Smith, LSE Chief Representative to East Asia. As the U.S. presidential election is a hot topic, the 30-minute Q&A session after the lecture was lively with many questions, and the event was a great success.
