Letters of Appreciation Presented to Resident Assistants and Community Assistants at International Students Dormitory and International House

On February 21, 2014, letters of appreciation were presented by Hitotsubashi University Vice President Kazuyasu Ochiai, director of the International Students Dormitory, to the resident assistants who were tutors at the International Students Dormitory and the International House (selected from among undergraduate and graduate students at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo Gakugei University, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, and The University of Electro-Communications) and to the community assistants (selected from among undergraduate and graduate students at Hitotsubashi University). Resident assistants and community assistants are in charge of managing the dormitories and providing support for the residents with the aim of fostering a satisfying community life.

At the roundtable following the presentation ceremony, resident assistants and community assistants talked about what they learned from their roles at the dormitories. Vice President Ochiai, International Students Dormitory Manager Izuo Tsutsui, International House Director Koji Murata, and International House Manager Yuki Watabe each offered a few words of appreciation.

At Hitotsubashi University, dormitories are managed with the aim of having all nationalities live together in harmony. Hitotsubashi students can thus enjoy international exchange without leaving the university.
