A lecture by the Ambassador of Pakistan in Japan Farukh Amil was held

A lecture on by the Ambassador of Pakistan in Japan Farukh Amil was held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. At the suggestion of the Ambassador, who places great importance on exchange with Japanese students, the lecture was arranged as part of the course on conducted by Professor Nobumasa Akiyama of the Faculty of Law.

Prior to the lecture Ambassador Farukh Amil had a meeting with professors of Hitotsubashi University. President Koichi Tadenuma, Board Member and Executive Vice President Koji Murata, Professor Akiyama and Professor Takashi Kurosaki of the Institute of Economic Research attended, and a lively discussion took place about future exchanges with Pakistan.

In the lecture itself Ambassador Farukh Amil gave a presentation in English on Pakistan’s history, culture, economic conditions and international relations before some 50 students from Hitotsubashi University. He mentioned the friendship which Pakistan and Japan have through trade and disaster aid. With an attentive audience and a lively Q&A session in English, the lecture was a great success.
